Is a no or low alcohol future something you'd consider - what's the benefits?

With dry January  almost over you may be consideriing a no or low alcohol future?

The "no and low" movement refers to a trend in which individuals are choosing to consume less alcohol, or no alcohol at all. This movement is driven by a variety of factors, including increased awareness of the negative health effects of excessive alcohol consumption, as well as a desire to lead a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.

One of the key benefits of the no and low movement is that it can help to improve overall health and wellbeing. Excessive alcohol consumption is linked to a wide range of health problems, including liver disease, cancer, and mental health issues. By reducing or eliminating alcohol consumption, individuals can reduce their risk of developing these and other health problems.

Another benefit of the no and low movement is that it can help to improve productivity and focus. Alcohol is a depressant, which means that it can slow down the central nervous system and make it more difficult to think clearly and stay focused. By reducing or eliminating alcohol consumption, individuals can improve their ability to stay alert and focused, which can be beneficial for work and other activities.

The no and low movement is also driven by the social and environmental factors. The trend of sober-curious and mindful drinking has been on the rise, people are becoming more aware of the impact of alcohol on their social life, relationships and the environment. There is a growing awareness of the negative impact of alcohol on the environment, particularly in terms of the resources and energy required to produce, distribute, and dispose of alcohol.

There are many ways to participate in the no and low movement, whether it's taking a month off from drinking, setting a goal to drink less, or choosing non-alcoholic alternatives. Some popular non-alcoholic alternatives include sparkling water, kombucha, and mocktails. Many bars and restaurants are now offering more non-alcoholic drinks options too.

Overall, the no and low movement is a positive trend that can help individuals to improve their health, focus, and overall wellbeing, while also reducing their impact on the environment. It's a personal choice and a lifestyle change that can bring many benefits.

Our YouTube channel offer lots of cocktail inspiration most of which can be made in a mocktail style by switching key ingredients to non or low alcohol alternatives.
