From Entries to our Competition
Did you know we have our own in-house artist at Flavour Blaster, Lorna Nelson, who makes all our custom designed Flavour Blaster guns. She also designs all our graphics and merchandise (coming soon!).
Every now and then, we get itchy feet at Flavour Blaster HQ and we want to shake things up a bit, make a few changes. So, we decided to run a design competition to see what amazing talent was out there in the world. Boy, we were not disappointed.
“When I draw I feel like a child.” Gulypitt
We let people enter in any format they liked: digital, video, painting or drawing, even collage. We just wanted a design that would stand out from the crowd. People could share their designs with us on our Instagram or privately message us their submissions. We didn’t set a limit to the amount of entries any one person could send in, and so, you can imagine, we were inundated with fantastic design ideas.
We didn’t mind if the design was personal, or business oriented, we just wanted to see cool concepts that could be brought to life!
“The Fiery Blaster”
In the end, we HAD to choose three winners, out of over 200 entries. The Warrior Blaster by Sonny Asmoro, based in Ibiza in Spain who captured Indonesian culture in his Balinese flame-tongued dragon decorated Flavour Blaster. Then there was the Butterfly Bubbles by Guillermo Pittaluga, a Uruguayan residing in Southern France. His ‘dia de los muertos’ design featured Mexican butterflies and the traditional death mask that marks the holiday. Finally, our third winner was The Rock Show by Vittorio Manganiello, an Italian bartender who was inspired by his duel loves of bartending and rock music.
Each of the winners received a custom Flavour Blaster in the post. But you don’t need to enter a competition just to have your own Flavour Blaster custom design, we do them for anyone who wants one. Just email us with your design spec and Lorna will book you in.
